Hey guys! Holy Sewvivor! Have you seen the auditions?!?! They are out of this world amazing. Every last project! Trust me when I say that if you don’t make it into the Top 16, its not because your project isn’t amazing. It’s all going to depend on where the judges cast their votes. They have an incredibly difficult job!
I’ll be extending the Auditions for ONE day. So they will close this Tuesday, July 22 at Midnight, eastern standard time.
The Top 16 will be announced next Monday, July 28!
{Over the weekend, I will be posting TEASERS on Instagram and Facebook… clues to who has made it into the competition… stay tuned! Hehehe, I’m so sneaky}!
So while you wait for the big day next week…. check out some of our past Sewvivor champs. There are been amazing talent in the competition the last 2 seasons. Maybe study their blog posts to gain inspiration for Season 3! Also, you can browse the Sewvivor archives on my blog to get a feel for how the competition goes. And check out the Season 1 Top 10 and the Season 2 Top 10. (I changed it to Top 16 for Season 3 to better mimic the actual show).
Season 1 Champ: Miranda from One Little Minute
Miranda was our very first Sewvivor Champion from Season 1 in 2012. She is one of the most talented seamstresses on the web if you ask me. Her entry piece was a custom wedding dress! I had the pleasure of meeting Miranda later that year, we roomed together at Sewing Summit. Here are all of her projects from Season 1. Click here to read her recap. (Themes were: Upcycle, Sew for Charity, Pleats, and Judge Inspired)
Season 2 Champ: Caila from Caila Made
Again, an amazing champ from Season 2! Her audition piece was this amazing kimono dress. I love this girl- I had a chance to meet her at Sewing Summit last year. She’s a hoot. I loved how she took the quilted challenge and created an entire pieced wardrobe for her son. (Themes were: Quilted, Emerald, and Buttons). Her blog has blossomed into such a great resource for kid’s clothing and patterns.
Here’s a peak at the 2nd and 3rd place winners from Seasons 1 and 2.
Jess from Dream Catcher Baby
She auditioned with her Big Bow dress, and now she has a booming business selling them!
