Happy May! I have always loved this month, because of spring and all the flowers around, and because it is my birthday month! And today happens to be my birthday! So I am sharing something that makes me incredibly happy and cheerful. My daughters made this darling button bouquet for me, with the help of one of my best friends and next door neighbor. She is the activities director at an assisted living home, and made these with her elderly patients. She then had my kids over and helped them make these. I love flowers of any kind, but this little bouquet is one of my all time favorites, because I get to treasure it forever! It is currently displayed on my Mother’s Day Mantle, but normally I keep it in my craft room.

It’s not hard to make this, its inexpensive, and your kids (or elderly loved ones) will love making it!
They used wire that is covered in soft, green, fuzzy stuff. Check the floral aisle at your craft store to find it.

Then using some colorful buttons of different sizes, layer them, two or three at a time. Then thread the wire through the holes and twist it.

I love the cute little glass bottles that Hobby Lobby sells. They can be found for $1.50 when they are on sale.

Oh these colors make my heart sing!
Once upon a time…

I started a blog. This is a tale of my projects, goals, and dreams. Thank you for taking a moment to stop by. I hope you have a beautiful day.

xoxo, Rach H.
