A couple of weeks ago, I received a super exciting email from the fabulous Erin, the founder of The Sewing Summit, a big conference for the online sewing community, which will be held at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City this October. The tickets sold out within just a few hours last April, so there was really no chance that I’d be able to attend. Until I got the email! Erin invited me to come to the conference and be a speaker. My heart was totally pounding when I got the news… this was such an unexpected opportunity. In fact, I hadn’t really imagined myself to have such a fun opportunity related to blogging, like ever! I told my husband about it when he got home, and he realized how excited I was and what I neat chance I had been offered. The problem is that we live quite a ways from Utah, with no family around, so we didn’t exactly know how we would swing it. But Troy (my husband) is so awesome, and really wanted to make this happen for me. So he called his mom to see if she’d be willing to fly and take care of our 3 kids while I travel to Utah. She is amazing, and the kids are so excited. I really can’t believe all the pieces came together so quickly, and I am super honored and excited to attend such a cool conference!

One of the reasons I’m so excited about this is because of all the hands-on classes. I took a bunch of sewing classes during college, and it was really really cool to be in a huge classroom with 30 other sewing machines buzzing away. At the Sewing Summit, Babylock will be a sponsor, and from what I hear, there will be like 200 machines set up in a huge room for us to learn and sew on. That’s like being back in college, times ten! I just can’t wait to meet so many other women who share the same passions that I have.

They’ve given me amazing opportunities to try some of their products, and write guest posts for them. They also been such a great sponsor of my blog, and have hosted very generous giveaways. I have met their staff in person, which makes it even more sweet to work with them. They were the very first online fabric and crafting website I had ever found or ordered from. They have the best products and prices. I just really adore them, and I am so grateful to share them as party of my blogging journey!
