My mother-in-law is a wonderful cook. She makes an amazing vegetable salad with a citrus dressing and sugared almonds, and it is my favorite. Lately I’ve been on a nut kick- like trail mix and roasted almonds- for a delicious and healthy snack. I’ve also been snacking on the sugared almonds that are meant to top the salad. They are just so good (much better than potato chips)!
How to Make Toasted Sugared Almonds
 Ingredients:
1 6 oz bag sliced almonds
1/3 cup white sugar

Directions:
1.You’ll need a frying pan and spoon. Easy enough!

2. Melt the sugar on medium low. It takes a good 5 minutes. Constabtly stir to avoid burning.

3. Once the sugar has begun to melt, you can slowly add the almonds. Stir about 2 minutes, constantly, coating the almonds with the sugar.

4. When the almonds are ready, spreak them on foil to cool. Break the clumps with a spoon.

5. When they are cool, you can store them in an air-tight bag, or a jar…. that is, if you have any leftover!

*I love these screw on lids that I found on Amazon, to fit on my mason jars!
Once upon a time…

I started a blog. This is a tale of my projects, goals, and dreams. Thank you for taking a moment to stop by. I hope you have a beautiful day.
