Wahoo! I’ve been working behind the scenes planning this contest for a few months.
I’m excited to tell you what it’s all about, and to introduce the judges and prizes!!!

It is called Cre8 + 2 = Me and You. This is a
contest designed to inspire you to spend time creating with a loved one
(i.e. a child, parent, sibling, friend, neighbor). The point is to encourage you to spend time creating, teaching, learning, playing, and making memories while sharing your creativity! Your projects can be anything- sewing, crafting, painting, building,
decorating, organizing, cooking, gardening, etc. They can be simple or complex. They can be made anytime- this summer, 5 years ago, 10 years ago- be sure to tell the story behind your project!

The contest opens today, and will be open for the next 2 weeks. Each Wednesday, I will share some things that I have created with my children over the summer, so check back if you’re looking for an idea of what this is about! So… if you
haven’t already, go do something creative with your special person! There are just a few precious weeks of summer left.

I’ve asked some of my favorite creators and story tellers to be the judges. They’re amazing, aren’t they? Click on their pictures to read their blogs and show them some love!
Here’s how the judging will work.
*This has been updated… there are already such sweet ideas entered, and I am realizing there is no way I could “judge” which projects are the best or most meaningful. So to be more fair, and because really you are ALL winners, here’s how it will work…
I will choose 10 entries at random. Then the judges and I will rank those 10 in the order of our favorites, and all votes will be tallied. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. We are looking for entries that showcase creativity, tell a story, and show that you spent quality time together with a loved one.

The companies who are donating prizes are AWESOME! You will be so thrilled with what they have to offer! Thank you so much sponsors, for donating $500 worth in prizes!
