This is one of my favorite ways to serve fruit over the summer. It is so light and refreshing! It contains lime juice, which will keep your fruit from turning brown, and a surprise ingredient, which gives this dish a little zing! I learned this recipe from my cooking class at BYU, but I like to use olive oil instead of vegetable oil, as the original recipe called for.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lime juice (fresh is best)
2 TB sugar
2 TSP poppy seeds
dash of Tabasco (surprise)!
your favorite fruits (washed, drained, and sliced)
I used- blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, mango, mandarin oranges, grapes, and apples

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a tightly covered jar. Shake well. Pour over prepared fruit.
The ingredients for the dressing sound weird, but trust me, it’s so good!!!
If I turn my back for even a second, our family’s little taste tester will show up in no time.
She’s sporting a little dress that used to be mine!
