I am so excited for the kids to give this to their dad next Sunday! He’s
loves root beer, and is going to love this idea. For all I know, he’s
going to want to turn our basement into a big root beer cellar, haha! It
isn’t my original idea to treat my man to a sampling of different kids
of root beers. (You can see other cute ideas on Homemade by Jill and The Indigo Bunting).
But, with mustaches all the rage right now, I thought it would be fun
to call it, “Dad’s Root Beer Stache,” and decorate everything with the
stache. So here are all the printables that you would need to create
this for your husband/father/man in your life.

So here’s what I did once all the printables were made…
I framed them. Then I put all the root beer’s I’ve collected so far into a wooden crate that I bought at Michaels. Then I cut the mustaches and taped them onto cutes straw that I bought on Etsy. Then I made the tags by cutting them out, and gluing the Happy Father’s Day and Love tags back-to-back, hole punching, and tying twine onto it. You could also attach a bottle opener to it, I think I will add that!

Here’s the “stache” so far. I’ve still got one week to gather more brands and flavors. The original plan was to buy only the bottled brands, but– they are expensive, and I thought it would be fun to compare them to the every day brands, so I threw in the plastic bottles and cans too. So far I’ve shopped at the gas station, Kroger, and Whole Foods. My personal favorite is Henry Weinhards, and I haven’t been able to find it in my town yet. I think this would be a really fun project to share with a few girlfriends. You could each shop for different root beers, then swap a few bottles, which would give you more choices for less cost. I’m just storing mine all in our basement, and when my husband runs out, I’ll just restock his crate 🙂 I figured he’d really like that!

This printable is for whatever you want it to be. You can write the brands and what makes them unique. Or you could let your husband/father use this to take notes on his favorites. You might want to print 2 or more depending on how many root beers you buy.

The color of the printables look really different in all of these photos for some reason. But in real life, they all match- they’re more turquoise than royal blue.

I also threw in some Happy Father’s Day and “Best Dad Ever” matching printables.

Thanks for visiting! I hope you have fun with this!
