That’s right! Real carrot sticks! Yes, I am devoting an entire blog post to raw carrots. Here I go.
When’s the last time you bit into a real carrot stick? I mean one that was peeled and cut. I don’t know who invented those pre-cut awkward little stubby carrots, but they certainly weren’t around when I was a kid. I just can’t bring myself to buy them. They are easy, convenient, and affordable, but they just don’t taste the same to me!
I prefer the kind of carrot sticks my great-grandma used to serve. Eating them makes me happy. I don’t mind peeling and cutting them. In fact, peeling carrots is my kid’s favorite job in the kitchen, so it’s good for everyone! And, these are the perfect after school snack. So call me a food snob, but there ya go, that’s how I feel about carrots!
So what about you? Do you peel and cut your own carrots too? Or do you think I’m nuts? (wait…don’t answer that! haha)
