I’m guest posting over at Nifty Thrifty Things today!
…………………………………………………..

Hi Nifty Thrifty readers! I’m Rach H, blogging over at Family Ever After. My blog is a big mish mash of my favorite things- crafts, recipes, tips, kid ideas, sewing, and diy home decor.

I’m a fan of Vanessa’s gorgeous photography on her Floral Fridays, so in honor of guest posting for her today, I’m showing you some pictures I’ve taken of my absolute favorite flower in the whole world.

SUNFLOWERS!

Sunflowers tell such a lovely story. I love the way they stand so tall and confident. They obediently face the sun, looking to it in all directions. They are my favorite.
I took this picture in the middle of nowhere, South Dakota.
Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It’s what sunflowers do. ~Helen Keller

I grew my very first sunflower this summer. I couldn’t believe how tall it grew.  I was so proud!

At the summer’s end, by beloved sunflower took a flailing leap to its death. I was absolutely crushed upon finding my poor flower laying there, lifeless.

I’d rather have {sunflowers} on my table than diamonds on my neck. ~Emma Goldman

If you’ve never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom. ~Terri Guillemets
Look at this amazing sight! Want to know where this was? My home state of South Dakota.  This was the prettiest sight my eyes have ever seen, it literally thrilled me to the edges of my soul.  I pulled over and took a million pictures, it was such a peaceful moment that I will never forget.  This picture now hangs in my sunflower kitchen.
