Hello friends! Welcome to part 4 of my sew-along tutorial! This week I got all my squares embroidered. I am posting pictures of all of them in case you’d like to see the detailing up close (in no particular order). This took me forever, although I totally enjoyed it!
Next Thursday, I will have the final tutorial. If you need to get a head start, here’s what I’ll be doing:
ironing interfacing to the back of each square. Folding the top edge over 1/8 inch and sewing down. Sewing squares to my tree. Embroidering the numbers 1-25 below the squares. Adding batting to the back of the tree. Sewing the back layer of the tree, right sides together. Turning it right side out, and topstitching the perimeter. Adding a star to the top and a tree stump. Sewing snowflake buttons through all layers. Adding a few D-rings to the back for hanging. There’s still lots to do, but by next week, it will be done! Yay! I’ll also include my ideas for activities that we plan to do in December.
