Normally I take a blogging break on Sundays, but today I couldn’t stay away.
Thinking about this day, 10 years ago.
I remember where I was so clearly…
I was a college student at BYU.
I was a college student at BYU.
On my agenda was going to work at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah,
where I delivered mail to lots of missionaries.
We ended up delivering much more than mail that day.
Lots and lots of sad news to lots of missionaries.
The person I always think of on this day is my friend who picked me up for work every morning.
I’ll never forget when he turned up the radio in the car,
and we sat in silence.
That friend has been missing in China for several years now.
My prayers are with him, and the victims and families affected by 9-11.
My prayers are with him, and the victims and families affected by 9-11.
It was a scary day.
My dad, who served in the army, taught me not to be scared, but to be brave and stand strong.
I love how our entire country seems to be doing just that.
Where were you?
