I never, ever thought I’d be doing this. Run a half marathon? Yeah right!
But turning 29 kinda changed that.
I was tired of telling myself that I’m not strong enough, not conditioned enough, not capable. That there’s something I can’t do.

So I started training.  It wasn’t easy, there’s always an excuse not to.  I’m still too busy moving in.  It’s too cold outside.  Troy’s not home.
But I had a goal and I found a way.  I was not giving up or letting myself quit.
I instructed my husband to tell me I couldn’t do it. Just to hear myself say I can. haha
(he knew I would)
It’s amazing what your body can do when you try.  When you push.  When you don’t give up. Sometimes even feel a little pain.
Surprisingly I didn’t do it to get in better shape, to lose weight, or as the start to a new regimen.  For me it was a mind game.
A negative mentally that I wanted to overcome.
I ran at a leisurely pace. I wanted to take in and savor the whole experience. So I took my phone camera with me and documented my experience in pictures, so I would never forget how awesome it felt!
And I did it. 2 hours and 15 min, which is not spectacular but I reached my goal which was not to stop.
I loved people like her. Who encouraged us to keep going.
And people like this. More cowbell please!
This guy just made me laugh. And run faster…

My last goal…
try to catch the old guy. Don’t let him beat me to the finish line! Run!!!
He’s beating me! No!!!
I didn’t beat him.
meh.
Once upon a time…

I started a blog. This is a tale of my projects, goals, and dreams. Thank you for taking a moment to stop by. I hope you have a beautiful day.
