Over the weekend, I did my favorite part of gardening. I pruned last year’s herbs, and planted a few new ones. I have chives, lavender, cilantro, and basil. (Can’t wait to make salsa and pesto)!

Clearly, they needed a little haircut 🙂

So this year, instead of filling my planter boxes with new soil, I decided to try Alaska Fish Fertilizer to add nutrients to my existing soil. It will be a fun experiment.
To use it, you just use a small amount and dilute it in water. I used 1 tablespoon per half gallon of water. (Don’t be frightened by its looks, lol. I know what you’re thinking)!

I stirred it up to dilute, and then watered my herbs.
